Dr. Ishida was born and raised in Honolulu. He graduated from Iolani School in 1979 with honors and went on to the University of Southern California where he majored in Biology. Our practice was established in 1955 by Dr. Harry M. Ishida, DDS, and Dr. Harrison joined his father in 1987 after graduating from the University Of Missouri School Of Dentistry. For the next three years, Dr. Harrison continued his studies at the L. D. Pankey Institute for advanced dental education in Key Biscayne, Florida attaining C5+ status. Since its inception in 1972, the prestigious institute maintains itself as the leading authority on dental care in the world today.
Dr Ishida is a member of the American Dental Association, the Hawaii Dental Association, where he served on the Dental Education committee, and is a graduate of Biomet 3i Graduate Synergy Training Program, a comprehensive training program for osseointegrated dental implants. He is also on the faculty at the Kapiolani Community College Dental Assisting program.
Dr Ishida is married and has two children. He devotes much of his time to community service outreach programs through St. Clement’s Episcopal Church where he has served on the Vestry.
